HunarGhar (HG) is a registered, non-profit organisation working towards the empowerment of women in particularly underprivileged areas within Karachi, Pakistan. At HG we believe in implementing quality skills-based education programmes, which can practically empower women from low-income families.
Courses offered at HG include sewing, needle-art, block-printing, beautician therapy techniques, papercrafts, computer knowledge and henna application. Development of such skills enables HG graduates to generate income to fulfil basic needs, and sustain their families. In addition, HG supports the professional growth and confidence of its students.Graduating students are given opportunities to practice and refine their skills by creating items designed by HG volunteers.
HG has also established an adult literacy program for women. The Jugnu course of literate Pakistan Foundation (LPF) is conducted at HG.
HG not only looks after its students; it has also created a separate “health & education” fund for its students’ families which caters to medical expenses for students, workers and their families, as well as assisting with school fees for the capable children of its students.

We offer free primary healthcare consultations by a qualified doctor, and we also hold free health camps such as eye check-ups and hepatitis screenings
We organize community awareness initiatives covering breast cancer early detection, hepatitis prevention, and environmental conservation through tree plantation activities.
In addition to our core services and programs, we also distribute full essential ration bags each Ramazan. These carefully assembled packages contain enough food supplies to sustain an entire family for a month.

Basic to advanced techniques, complex drafting & cutting. All materials (kits, fabric, etc.) are provided free of cost.
Hunar Ghar’s Needle Art Program offers comprehensive training in a variety of stitching and embroidery techniques. Students learn hand embroidery, machine embroidery, and specialized traditional techniques such as Adda & Aari work. With special emphasis on design creation, students learn to draw and trace intricate patterns, developing both their creativity and practical skills to produce professional work.
Color mixing, single/multi-block designs on fabrics.

Hunar Ghar offers a comprehensive salon training program, covering everything from basic to advanced beauty skills. Students learn services such as manicures, pedicures, haircuts, hairstyling, streaking, rebonding, and full bridal makeovers.
Adult Literacy was introduced in HGWO in 2024. we have adopted the JUGNU programme from Literate Pakistan foundation (LFP). Our aim is to provide the student literacy upto class v.
Programs for online work/office roles.
We provide a complete course of Henna application in which students r taught how to apply normal to bridal henna patterns. The techniques are first taught on glass and then on hands.
