Hunar Ghar is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering underprivileged women through skill-based training, education, and confidence-building programs in Karachi.

We offer courses in sewing, computer skills, needle art, block printing, salon & henna training, paper products, and adult literacy—all provided completely to our students.

Our programs are open to underprivileged women and young girls on a first-come, first-served basis.

Yes, we take a very small token fee for our courses at Hunar Ghar. This helps ensure regular attendance and commitment from students. A portion of this fee is also refunded once the student successfully completes the course. All required materials, such as fabric, embroidery frames, threads, utensils, and cosmetics for the salon course, are provided by HG, so students do not have to purchase anything separately.

Our training duration varies by course—ranging from 4.5 months (Computer Training, Blocks Printing) to 1 year.

It is a mobile facilitation project that brings salon and henna services to the community, offering income opportunities to our trained students at their doorstep.

You can support us through financial donations, sponsoring a student through our Umeed program, providing materials, or volunteering. Details are available on our website or social media pages.
